State Early Childhood Development Coordinating Council

The State Early Childhood Development Coordinating Council’s (SECDCC) vision is that all young children and families in the District of Columbia will receive the necessary supports and services from birth to age 8 to be ready to learn and develop successfully. The SECDCC supports and advocates for policies and practices to ensure a comprehensive early childhood education and development system for infants, toddlers, and young children by improving collaboration and coordination among agencies and community partners in the District of Columbia.

The Council meets on the third Thursday of the month from 2- 4 pm in at the John A. Wilson Building located at 1350 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW, Washington DC (directly across the street from the Freedom Plaza).
